Queue Warning (Q-WARN)
§Warns motorists of existing
or imminent downstream queues or shockwaves to increase
safety by reducing rear-end collisions and preventing
dangerous and late-stage lane-changing.
§Provides early congestion
warnings to motorists, improve throughput, and reduce
delays by allowing them to take alternate routes or
change lanes.
§May be applicable to
freeways,
arterials, and rural roads.
