Dear ITS Community,

Our strategic planning work continues to move forward.  We had a very good internal meeting with the ITS Strategic Planning Group (composed of USDOT modal administration leadership).  We are preparing now for the ITS Management Council meeting on November 20. This is a meeting composed primarily of modal Administrators.  We are asking their support and concurrence with the proposed program of work. If we receive their support, we will be ready to share the details of the work with the broader community.  We expect to provide more information during TRB.

Additionally, we had an excellent IntelliDrive^SM Working Group meeting in Detroit. There were about 200 participants at the meeting and on the Web. We appreciate the strong interest and participation from the attendees.  We received many good ideas and are in the process of collecting that input for further discussion.

Look for more updates following the ITS Management Council meeting on November 20.
