The goal of this public meeting and webinar was to provide an overview of the entire ITS Connected Vehicle Safety research program, including Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V), Vehicle to Infrastructure (V2I), Safety Pilot, Connected Vehicle Safety Policy, and Human Factors. The event also featured a review of the concept of operations for the connected vehicle transit program and a special session on commercial vehicles, designed to solicit input from the commercial vehicle industry (heavy vehicle manufacturers, suppliers, and other interested parties) on U.S. DOT’s research plans for related commercial vehicle applications for safety. The ITS JPO staff would like to thank all the attendees for their enthusiastic participation and support, which were key to making this a successful event.
