U.S.DOT Announces New Training Course on ITS Architecture Use and Maintenance

The U.S. Department of Transportation is pleased to offer the following free web-based training course, Intelligent Transportation Systems Architecture Use and Maintenance. This course is an alternative to the traditional instructor-led, on-site version of this workshop.  The purpose of this web-based training is to prepare ITS professionals to effectively use and maintain their regional ITS architecture.  This course consists of four separate but interrelated modules.  The user can enroll in any single module or any combination of modules depending on their individual need.

  • Introduction to ITS Architecture Use and Maintenance
  • How to Use an ITS Architecture to Plan ITS Projects
  • How to Use an ITS Architecture to Deploy ITS Projects
  • How to Maintain an ITS Architecture

The targeted audiences for the ITS Architecture Use and Maintenance web-based training course includes:

  • Public sector users such as professionals who are responsible for regional or statewide transportation planning, regional ITS architecture development and maintenance, as well as professionals planning, designing, or generating specifications for ITS projects.
  • Private sector users such as consultants, universities, etc… who support the public sector in developing or maintaining regional ITS architectures, ITS planning, and project development.

This course is available for free on the National ITS Architecture website.
