ITS Program Advisory Committee

I am sure that many attending our upcoming meeting in Oakland will be looking for a public transportation alternative for travel from the airport to the hotel.  BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) provides direct service.  Please see below:

The Marriott City Center is one block from the 12th Street BART Station.

From San Francisco International Airport (SFO), BART's Pittsburg Baypoint line provides direct service to Oakland 12th Street Station.  This is a direct service as no transferring is required.

From Oakland International Airport (OAK), take the Air Bus bus shuttle to BART's Coliseum Station and transfer to a train headed to Richmond.  That train will stop at BART's 12th Street Station.

From the Marriott, the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) (our meeting location) is a short 15-minute walk, or folks can take a BART train from 12th St bound for Fremont and get off at the first stop  - the Lake Merritt Station, which is directly across the street from the MTC offices.

For specific schedule and other travel info, go to www.bart.gov.  The trip planner info is on the front page.

Happy Traveling.
