The U.S. Department of Transportation Will Host a Webinar Exploring Complete Trip Deployment Scenarios

The U.S. Department of Transportation (U.S. DOT) is hosting a series of webinars on the Complete Trip - ITS4US Deployment Program to assist prospective deployers and partners. The fourth webinar in the series is scheduled for March 12 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm EST. Details on additional webinars will be posted on the program's website.

BACKGROUND

The U.S. DOT launched the Complete Trip - ITS4US Deployment Program to solve mobility challenges of all travelers, regardless of location, income, or disability, in accessing jobs, education, healthcare, and other activities. This program is a multimodal, multi-year effort led by the Intelligent Transportation Systems Joint Program Office (ITS JPO) with support from the Office of the Secretary of Transportation (OST), Federal Transit Administration (FTA), and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).

The Complete Trip - ITS4US Deployment Program will make up to $40 million available to enable communities to showcase innovative business partnerships, technologies, and practices that promote independent mobility for all. The program expects to procure and award multiple large-scale, replicable, real-world deployments of integrated innovative technologies to address the challenges of planning and executing complete trips.

WEBINAR DETAILS

The fourth webinar in the series will present hypothetical examples of communities applying the Complete Trip deployment concept development process, including identification of transportation challenges, partnership building, and concept development of integrated technology solutions.

Sofia Gallo (Special Assistant, Office of Transportation Policy) will provide a brief introduction to the Complete Trip – ITS4US Deployment Program. Elina Zlotchenko (Program Manager, ITS JPO) will give an overview of the program and upcoming procurement. Kate Hartman (Chief, Research, Evaluation and Program Management, ITS JPO) and Christina Gikakis (Program Manager, Office of Mobility Innovation) will provide example deployment scenarios and integrated Complete Trip solutions for transportation challenges in two hypothetical communities.

The webinar will conclude with information for potential deployers about the remainder of the webinar series.
