As part of the ICM Initiative, USDOT is conducting independent "before-after" analyses at the Dallas and San Diego demonstration sites to evaluate the benefits of ICM on transportation operator situational awareness, response and control, traveler information, and overall corridor performance.

Integrated Corridor Management Initiative: Demonstration Phase Evaluation - Final National Evaluation Framework This report provides an analytical framework for evaluating the two field deployments under the USDOT ICM Initiative Demonstration Phase: the San Diego I-15 corridor deployment and the Dallas US-75 corridor deployment. The evaluation will investigate and document the investments made by both sites, including ICM-related changes in policies and procedures; document and evaluate the capabilities acquired through ICM deployment and how those capabilities were utilized; and assess the impacts of the deployments, including mobility, safety, air quality and overall benefit-cost. Institutional and organization issues and lessons learned will also be investigated. The evaluation features eight individual analyses focusing on specific ICM capabilities and types of impacts. Stage 3A Analysis, Modeling, and Simulation for the I-15 Corridor in San Diego, California: Pre-Deployment AMS Assessment This report describes the various tasks associated with the refinement and additional analysis of the Stage 2 models and methodologies used at the San Diego ICM Demonstration Site in order to support the successful implementation of ICM. Chapter 2 provides a brief description of the I-15 Corridor in San Diego and the methodology used for the overall AMS effort. Chapter 3 summarizes the AMS work completed as part of the Stage 2 analysis, including analysis results. Chapter 4 lays out the methodology, model enhancements, model reasonableness assessment, and analysis results for the AMS work completed as part of the Stage 3 pre-deployment analysis. Traffic Analysis Toolbox Volume XIII: Integrated Corridor Management Analysis, Modeling, and Simulation Guide The purpose of this document is to help corridor stakeholders implement the ICM AMS methodology successfully and effectively. This guide provides a step-by-step approach to implementation of the ICM AMS methodology, and reflects lessons learned in its application to the three ICM Pioneer Sites and a test corridor. This document can be used to gain a high-level overview of the AMS process. It can also be used as a framework for developing an effective analysis plan to support selection and application of available tools and models specifically conducive to ICM.
